The 8PP Training Academy reflects our long-term commitment to developing legal talent in an inclusive, practical and forward-thinking way. Established to widen access to the profession, the Academy supports individuals with the ability, drive and potential to succeed in legal practice, regardless of background or traditional route into law.

The inaugural Academy cohort demonstrated the strength of this approach. Through structured learning, close supervision and hands-on exposure to real work, participants developed the skills and confidence to progress within a modern legal environment. The Academy also reflects the culture that defines 8PP: collaborative, supportive and grounded in respect for the diverse experiences people bring with them.

Stories shared by members of the 8PP team highlight the importance of social mobility, flexible career pathways and a workplace that recognises life beyond the law. These principles continue to shape our approach to training and development.

The next phase of the 8PP Training Academy is expected to recruit in 2027, building on these foundations to support the next generation of legal professionals.
