Record complaints in 2023 over damp, leaks & mould in social housing

A record number of complaints from tenants about damp, leaks, and mould in their social housing were made in 2023. Despite social landlords having a legal obligation to ensure their properties are kept safe and secure in good condition, more and more tenants are complaining about their houses being damp, mould, and in need of repair. The significant rise in complaints suggests that 2024-2025 is going to be a difficult year for social landlords.
