Liverpool-headquartered 8PP Barristers & Associates has been recognised in The Legal 500 UK Bar 2025, with Craig Leigh and Neil Smith listed as Leading Juniors for their work in Social Housing (Northern Circuit – Juniors).
This marks the first time advocates from 8PP have been included in the guide with Craig and Neil recognised among a select group of practitioners from across six Northern Circuit sets.
The Legal 500 praised Craig Leigh for his “good attention to detail in his preparation and [for being] able to pick up the smallest of details from the defendant’s written submissions,” and commended Neil Smith for “the ability to provide concise advice on cases” and for “making himself available whenever possible to assist instructing solicitors.”
The listing comes just 18 months after 8PP’s formation, marking another milestone. Since launching, 8PP has built a reputation for combining a modern employed-structure model with nationwide advocacy and transparent, fixed-fee legal services.
Craig Leigh, Barrister and Managing Director, commented: “It’s excellent to see both Neil and myself recognised by The Legal 500. This reflects the hard work of our whole team over the last 18 months and reinforces that our modern, collaborative approach resonates not just with clients, but within the wider profession too.”
The recognition follows a period of significant growth for 8PP, which has expanded its team, launched a pioneering Training Academy, and handled a diverse range of complex social housing and consumer law cases.
